Board Meeting Registration Process
The public can attend Avonworth School Board Meetings in person or virtually. Use the appropriate links below to register for in-person attendance or virtual attendance. The registration links will be posted by the Friday evening before a Monday board meeting.
Public Comment
Public comment can be made if attending in person or virtually (Policy 903). If you wish to make a public comment on an agenda item, registration is required and you must do so before the meeting is scheduled to begin. If you wish to make a general comment, registration is not required, but is encouraged. A link to register to make a public comment during a scheduled school board meeting can be found below.
General public comments will be taken during new business at the end of the meeting. The School Board will let the public know when it is time for public comment. The Board welcomes public comments concerning our schools from those community members who requested to do so in their registration for the meeting.
The Board will listen to each comment and make note of any questions asked. They may respond during the meeting or choose to respond at a later time. Each person's comment will be limited to three minutes and the total time allotted for public commentary will be 30 minutes. The School Board asks that groups of community members plan ahead and have one spokesperson to represent the group so as much commentary as possible can be heard in the limited time frame.
