Our 2018-2019 school year is off and running! On Friday, August 24th, we had an amazing opening morning with our staff. After welcoming our new staff members to the district, we sat back and relaxed as we took in a screening of the Mr. Rogers Documentery, It's You I Like.  Could there be any better way to start off the school year than reflecting on the incredible lessons that Mr. Fred Rogers taught all of us?  And to top that off, we followed the screeing of It's You I Like with a surprise vist from Mr. David Newell; better known as Mr. McFeely!  What a treat it was to have Mr. McFeely sharing storys of Fred Rogers, The Neighborhood, and some of the life lessons he learned along the way.  

 

To top off the morning, our staff spent time with Michele de la Reza from Attack Theater.  She did a wonderful job of incorporating the theme of the 2018-2019 school year into a fun dance activity that the entire staff participated in! 

 

On Monday, August 27th, we welcomed our students back.  It was wonderful seeing the smiling faces of students coming off the buses, exiting parent's vehichles, and filling our halls and classrooms.  Our custodians, administrative assistants, and teachers have been working hard to get the buildings ready for the start of school.  Thank you to all of them for the hard work they have put in to preparing for the school year and for the work they will do throughout the school year.
