Students Win Big at Odyssey of the Minds Competition

Avonworth had a great day at the Odyssey of the Minds Western Pennsylvania competition over the March 4th weekend!

Our teams spent months solving complicated problems and transforming their solutions into a performance for the competition. 

Four of our Avonworth teams advanced to the April 1 State Competition at Lock Haven University!

1st place, Vehicle Problem (Division 1): Team Omega:  Norah Chverchko, Max Genovese, Gabby Kuzma, Lily Michael, Evia Shea, Gabe Van Mater, Charlie Vaughan

1st place, Structure Problem (Division 2): Team Lambda:  Jack Anderson, Jacob Greathouse, Cora Hendrickson, Eddie Keller, Henry Maddalena, Alex Troxell, Andy Troxell

2nd place, Vehicle Problem (Division 2):  Team Zeta: Trinity Klicker, Matilda Mackillop, Kate Paulat, Max Paulat, Tyler Smith, Timmy Wrona, Gus Zimmerman

3rd place, Classics Problem (Division 1): Team Gamma:  Benny Askren, Thomas Cole, Madeline Mohn, Evelyn Neville, Skylar Patberg, Mae Waters, Maryn Zupancic
