Avonworth Students Perform In Allegheny Valley Honors Band Festival

Avonworth Students Selected for Allegheny Valley Honors Band Festival

Avonworth School District is proud to recognize Junior High (Grades 7–9) and Senior High (Grades 10–12) band students who were selected through a competitive audition process to participate in the Allegheny Valley (AV) Honors Band Festival, held January 28–29.

Senior High students had the opportunity to work under the direction of Arris Golden, Assistant Director of Bands and Associate Director of the Spartan Marching Band at Michigan State University. Junior High students studied with David Regner, Commander of the Air Force Band of the West in San Antonio, Texas. The festival concluded with a culminating concert performance alongside select student musicians from across the region.

Avonworth’s strong representation at the AV Honors Band Festival highlights the exceptional caliber of its student musicians and reflects the district’s ongoing commitment to rigorous, high-quality music education made possible through the support of students, families, and the school community.
