Special Visitor Teaches About Liver Function

Students in grades K-5 had the opportunity to learn about how their liver functions. Speakers from NASH Knowledge came into both APC and AES Physical Education classes to explain how sugar affects the liver and ways to be careful not to eat too much sugar. The students enjoyed meeting the Livvy the Liver mascot and seeing how much sugar each soda and sport drink contains.
