Student Musicians Perform at PMEA District 1 Orchestra Festival

Congratulations to Kaleb Amick (horn), Emi Bechtold (oboe), Gianna Gibson (oboe/English horn), Zach Konieczki (bass trombone), Ben Cavanaugh (tuba), and Brody Scigliano (percussion) for representing our school at the PMEA District 1 Orchestra Festival, held January 22–24 at Mt. Lebanon Area High School. Students from across the district were selected through a competitive audition process to participate in this prestigious festival.
The festival orchestra was conducted by Dr. Rotem Weinberg, Director of Orchestras at West Virginia University.
Special recognition goes to Kaleb Amick, Emi Bechtold, and Brody, who earned top placements in their auditions and will advance to the PMEA Western Region Orchestra in early March. Kaleb placed second chair horn overall, Emi placed second chair oboe overall, and Brody placed third chair percussion overall.
We are proud of these students for their dedication, talent, and outstanding musical achievement.
