Red Cross Club Embraces Spirit of Giving
The Avonworth High School Red Cross Club once again embraced the spirit of giving by organizing a heartfelt holiday card-making event with the kindergarten and first grade students at APC. On December 6th, students gathered to craft beautiful, handmade cards for local veterans as part of the annual Holiday Mail for Heroes initiative.
The event, which has become a beloved tradition for the AHS Red Cross Club, allows students of all ages to come together to send messages of gratitude and cheer to veterans in the Pittsburgh area. The Red Cross Club members are proud to support this nationwide campaign, helping to brighten the holidays for those who have served in the military.
The cards created by the kindergarten and first grade students will be sent to veterans across the Pittsburgh area, bringing a personal touch to their holiday season. The AHS Red Cross Club’s ongoing commitment to service is just one example of how local youth are making a meaningful difference in their communities.
As the holiday season continues, the AHS Red Cross Club remains dedicated to spreading joy and gratitude to those who have given so much in service to our country.
