Avonworth School District is proud to share that it has received an Honorable Mention from Women for a Healthy Environment (WHE) for the 2024–2025 school year. This recognition highlights the district's ongoing commitment to creating a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for all students and staff.
The Honorable Mention specifically acknowledges Avonworth’s efforts in:

Conducting air quality testing to monitor and maintain clean, breathable air throughout school buildings

Testing for radon, a naturally occurring gas that can pose health risks if undetected

Upgrading water fountains to improve access to clean, safe drinking water
