Camp College 2025 Prepares Rising Seniors for Success

students working on computers

On Tuesday, August 5, over 40 rising seniors participated in Camp College, held at Avonworth High School. The event provided students with an opportunity to make significant progress on their college applications before the school year begins.

With the guidance of Justin Vorbach from Penn State University and Adam Kauffman from the University of Toledo, students engaged in a series of hands-on workshops. Sessions included personalized support for college essays, a step-by-step walkthrough of the Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR), and an in-depth look at the Common Application and Xello platforms.

The day was designed to help students feel more confident and prepared as they begin their college admissions journey.

For any seniors who were unable to attend, support is still available. Students seeking assistance with post-secondary planning or college applications are encouraged to reach out to Dr. Lisa Maloney at lmaloney@avonworth.k12.pa.us.
