Avonworth Student Named Finalist at Prestigious Debate & Leadership Institute

Congratulations to Avonworth student Liam Joyce, who recently earned finalist honors at the prestigious Debate & Leadership Institute, sponsored by Founding Forward and the Bill of Rights Institute.
The five-day program brought together 70 students from 21 states for an immersive experience in debate, public speaking, leadership, and civic engagement. The institute concluded with a championship debate at The Union League in downtown Philadelphia, where Liam advanced to the final round of the competition.
Liam was one of just three students from the Pittsburgh area selected to participate in this year's institute and attended the program for the second consecutive year.
