Arts Pathway Students Visit Society for Contemporary Craft

Students in the Arts Pathway recently visited the Society for Contemporary Craft in Lawrenceville for an educational field experience focused on contemporary craft.
During the visit, students toured the organization’s new workshops and creative spaces. They also heard from resident artists and staff, who shared insights into their careers and educational paths in the arts. In addition to learning about professional opportunities, students participated in hands-on activities, including embroidery, weaving, and metal embossing.
The experience provided students with exposure to a working creative environment while allowing them to explore a variety of craft techniques firsthand.
