Nutrition Services

Welcome to Avonworth School District's Nutrition Services Department.
Avonworth will offer free breakfast to ALL STUDENTS (October 3, 2022– June 2, 2023).
Governor Tom Wolf announced his $21.5 million plan to provide universal free school breakfast for 1.7 million students across the commonwealth this school year.
This change is only applicable to the School Breakfast Program in the 2022-2023 School Year and does not affect a student’s
eligibility status for lunch (free, reduced, and paid, respectively).

The Free/Reduced Meal Application and instructions are available on this page or visit www.compass.state.pa.us
Menus are planned to meet the United States Department of Agriculture regulations for nutrients, sodium, fat and calories by age/grade group.  Meals include whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, lean proteins and low-fat or skim milk.
Snack items available for purchase meet the Smart Snacks in Schools guidelines.
