High School Principal - Welcome!

I am Keera Dwulit and I have been proudly serving as part of the Avonworth leadership team since 2015. I am beginning my seventh year as High School Principal and am thrilled to be on this journey with the students, teachers, and staff of Avonworth High School.

After attending the University of Pittsburgh, I served in the United States Army in various roles, taking me around the world and out the doors of many aircraft as a jumpmaster at Ft. Bragg, NC. My service as a Quartermaster Officer led me to 9 years of teaching High School Social Studies at Upper St. Clair and then ultimately to the Assistant Principal role here at Avonworth. I am inspired by students finding their passion, teachers finding life-long connections and a genuine care for each of us as valued people in a special school and community. I returned to Pitt to complete my Masters Degree and Gannon University for my Administrative Certification. Just recently, I earned my Ed.D in Educational Leadership from the University of Pittsburgh.

I now strive to balance my active family and my professional career, pouring my heart and energy into the future leaders and families of Avonworth. My door is always open to you and I look forward to sharing ideas and making this our best year yet!

Assistant Principal Picture - Mrs. Kaitlin Remensky

My name is Kaitlin Remensky and since 2017, I have had the unique opportunity to serve as Assistant Principal at two great buildings in our school district. As a part of the team at both Avonworth Middle School and Avonworth High School, I love working with students, families and staff to provide the best education possible for our learners in grades 7-12.

After graduating from North Hills High School, I earned my BA in History and Social Studies 7-12 PA teaching certification from Westminster College. I went on to earn my MA in History from Slippery Rock University and then my Principal Certification from the University of Pittsburgh.

My career in education began as a teaching assistant in the North Hills School District. I then spent 13 years teaching Social Studies at Knoch High School in the South Butler County School District. In 2015, I accepted a position as the Assistant Principal in the South Butler County Elementary Schools before returning to Knoch High School as Assistant Principal for the 2016-2017 school year. I was then honored to become an administrator at Avonworth in 2017.

Outside of school, I spend a lot of time on the sidelines as a “soccer mom” cheering on my two children and my husband (who is usually coaching). Our busy schedules always have us moving, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
