Welcome to the Avonworth School District Website. My name is Jeff Hadley and I was very proud to be named the Assistant Superintendent of the Avonworth School District in April of 2018. Prior to becoming the Assistant Superintendent at Avonworth, I served as an elementary teacher for ten years in the Fox Chapel Area School District and then held administrative positions in both the Riverview School District and Plum Borough School District.
I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1995. After working in the world of business for four years, I returned to the University of Pittsburgh to earn my elementary teaching certificate. After becoming a teacher in the Fox Chapel Area School District, I returned to the University of Pittsburgh to earn my Master of Elementary Teaching Degree and K-12 Principal Certificate. Once becoming an administrator, I continued my education at the University of Pittsburgh to earn my Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility and Doctor of Education Degree.
Away from education, I enjoy time with my family. My wife and I enjoy the arts and music culture Pittsburgh offers and we especially enjoy going to musicals. I also enjoy spending time with my son playing golf, caddying for him in his golf tournaments, and supporting all of Pittsburgh’s amazing sports teams.
