Avonworth High School CurriculumAn effort has been made over the last five years to add courses to the high school options that are designed to provide an opportunity for students to take a deep dive into current and historical issues. Teachers have designed these courses to allow students to investigate, question, analyze, and discuss these important issues. Students engage in critical and challenging conversations throughout these courses as they dive deeply into this critical content.
Learning Through Literature
Teachers in both the middle school and high school have worked hard to create a diverse literary canon (books, narratives, texts) across all courses. It is important to share that literature is read by Avonworth students across all courses and not only in our reading/English courses. For al ist of the literature that Avonworth students are exposed to across core courses, please use the following link.
