Grau Makes Verbal Commitment to Youngstown State

Turner Grau to become a penguin. No not a Pittsburgh Hockey Penguin or a Danny DeVito sidekick in the batman movie. Turner made a verbal commitment to continue his Athletic endeavors and play baseball at Youngstown State University. Turner will make it binding when he signs his official National Letter of Intent in November.

Youngstown State plays Baseball in the Horizon League which is a 10-school collegiate athletic conference in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I, whose members are located in and near the Midwestern United States.

The Youngstown State baseball program has been recognized as a recipient of the American Baseball Coaches Association's Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2017-18 academic year.

The award honors collegiate programs coached by ABCA members that post a Grade Point Average (GPA) over 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the current academic year. YSU was one of 46 NCAA Division I programs and the only member of the Horizon League to be honored.

Youngstown state is best known for their business and engineering schools as the school was founded in 1908 by the YMCA with one course offering and is now a full-fledged university with hundreds of degree offerings.

Congratulations Turner!
