Members of the Avonworth School Board adopted the 2019-20 Proposed Final Budget at its May 6th Work Session/General Purpose meeting.
The proposed general fund budget is $34,287,232 and has factored in a .43 mill increase in the real estate tax rate. The proposed real estate tax rate of 19.53 mills equates to an annual school tax bill of $4,156 on a median valued home in Avonworth, which is $212,850. Each mill equates to approximately $1,130,000 in school property tax billings. The Proposed Final Budget is available for public inspection to all interested residents in the district administrative office located at 258 Josephs Lane. The Final Budget along with the real estate tax rate for the 2019-20 school year is scheduled to be voted on at the June 10, 2019 Legislative meeting. The District will hold its annual Public Budget meeting on Monday, June 3rd at 7:30 PM in the District Administration Board Room located at 258 Josephs Lane. All residents are welcome to attend as an overview of the budget by expenditure and revenue classification will be provided and public comment is welcome.
