I completed my Ph.D. in Instructional Management and Leadership through Robert Morris University in 2016. As part of my doctoral research, I studied the impact of creativity measures through student participation in a maker space.
In addition to being an administrator, I am an active member in Trying Together (formally PAEYC), the Remake Learning network, and serve on the leadership team for the AIU/United Way's Hi5 Kindergarten Transition Program.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Kindergarten and Elementary Education at Pennsylvania State University’s main campus. For the past 10 years, I taught in the Bellwood-Antis School District as a teacher in Kindergarten, Second Grade, and Fourth Grade. Additionally, I served as a mentor teacher and methods professor to teacher candidates in a PDS partnership with Penn State Altoona. Most recently, I earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership with a concentration of Administration and Supervision from Regent University.
Beyond my love of learning, I enjoy spending time outdoors
hiking, trail running, and kayaking with my dog, Ella Mae. Some may remember me from performances in our
school musicals and singing the National Anthem at athletic events. Now, I do
most of my singing in the car on long road trips, in my house doing chores, and
at church with a worship team. One of my favorite things to do is spend time
playing and reading with my nephews and niece.
