Dr. Hadley became the Assistant Superintendent of the Avonworth School District in April of 2018. Prior to becoming the Assistant Superintendent at Avonworth, he served as an elementary teacher for ten years in the Fox Chapel Area School District and then held administrative positions in both the Riverview School District and Plum Borough School District. He is a member of Remake Learning and has been a member of the ABC Create Collaborative since 2015. Dr. Hadley is dedicated to changing the way educators approach education with an emphasis on ensuring students are immersed in authentic educational experiences that promote collaboration, communication, and creativity.
Dr. Hadley earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1995. After working in the world of business for four years, he returned to the University of Pittsburgh to earn his elementary teaching certificate. After becoming a teacher in the Fox Chapel Area School District, he returned to the University of Pittsburgh to earn his Master of Elementary Teaching Degree and K-12 Principal Certificate. Once becoming an administrator, he continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh earning his Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility and Doctor of Education Degree.
Away from education, Dr. Hadley enjoys time with his family. He and his wife enjoy the arts and music culture offered by Pittsburgh and especially enjoy going to musicals. Jeff also enjoys spending time with his son playing golf and watching all of Pittsburgh’s amazing sports teams.
